Cybernomics Celebrates Green IT with New “Green” Website

Wednesday, Sep 5, 2007 — Media Releases

Cybernomics is proud to announce launch of new website with special emphasis on Going Green

Cybernomics is proud to launch its new website, www.cybernomics.com, with a special emphasis on Going Green. Focused on its new “virtualization” services, the website now includes Green Tips for technology and a Green News feed.
Virtualization and other Green IT initiatives ensure that energy, resources, space and money are conserved, which means lowered costs for hardware and IT support time, more efficient application of IT to business and therefore lowered energy use and waste.

In 2006, Cybernomics began incorporating a new technology called virtualization into its standard practices to reduce the amount of resource and energy use in its datacenter and offices. 2007 has seen many of their clients incorporate the same technology to go green for 3 essential reasons:
· It saves money by decreasing hardware and overall IT support costs

· It increases uptime and improves business continuity

· It actually helps the environment by reducing energy, raw materials and waste

Green IT: Transforming the way we use technology

Green IT is transforming the way we use technology to cut down on wastes, eliminate unnecessary energy use and therefore help the environment. Green IT initiatives can span from simply nixing your screensaver to using Virtualization technology to make your servers run 4 times as efficiently.

As with any industry, Going Green in IT has to apply to the whole process… that means only when manufacturers, software companies, IT companies and users are all in sync, can we really start to make progress.
