Test & Measurement

The Test & Measurement area of Cybernomics stems from the development of a “System to monitor the temperature of an integrated circuit and to dissipate heat generated thereby”, which resulted in the awarding of a patent to Jean Jerome Baudry on March 17, 1997 (US Patent# 5612677). This previous research and development established the Test & Measurement area of Cybernomics, which today focuses mostly on the engineering and design of transducers.

Transducers are devices which transfer one form of energy into another, and are used for testing, measuring and utilizing energy. Normally about the size of a thumbnail, transducers are found in most modern machinery in one form or another. Common examples include microphones, thermometers, pressure sensors and antennae. Through our research and development of these tiny sensors, our Test and Measurement (T&M) division has the ability to apply this technology to provide new solutions in almost every industry, from automobile manufacturing to medical sciences to the military. No matter whether the problem is commonplace or very complex.
